Sunday Meditation – Doing the will of our ‘Heavenly Father’

But small is the gate and narrow is the road that leads to life. – Matthew 7:13-23

As Christians, we need to test ourselves all the time. We may think that what we are doing is very righteous and we will go to heaven. But, Jesus knows our hearts.

A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. – Matthew 7:18

Thus, we have to ensure that our tree is good. We cannot do anything right unless we are rooted in Christ – the tree of life.

“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.” – Matthew 7:21

Doing the ‘will of our Heavenly Father’ is what makes us righteous.
